I'm having issues with my Access Number or Recording Line. What can I do?

When you tap the red Record button in TapeACall, a phone number—called the Access Number—appears. This number must be merged in a three-way call with you and the person you want to record.If this step doesn't work, your call won’t be recorded properly.

Here's how to fix it:

👉 Check if you’re using the correct Access Number

  1. Go to Settings > Recording Line
  2. Make sure the Access Number matches the one for your country
  3. If it doesn’t, follow the steps below to update it

 

👉 How to update your Access Number

  1. Go to Settings > Recording Line
  2. Swipe left on your current Access Number
  3. Tap Edit
  4. Enter the new Access Number
  5. Tap Save

 

👉 Important notes

  • Make sure to use the correct Access Number for your location! Using a number from a different country could result in international calling fees.

By keeping your Access Number updated, you'll ensure that TapeACall can successfully create the three-way conference calls required to record your conversations.
