You can record both incoming and outgoing calls using TapeACall by following the simple steps below.
👉 To record an incoming call
- Answer the call as you normally would
- Open TapeACall
- Tap the big red Record button in the center of the screen
- Tap Call to dial the TapeACall recording line
- Once connected, tap Merge Calls to start recording
This merges your current call with the TapeACall line, which will then record the entire conversation until you hang up.
👉 To record an outgoing call
- Open TapeACall
- Tap the big red Record button
- Tap Call to connect to the TapeACall recording line
- Once connected, tap Add Call and dial the number you want to record

TapeACall records the entire conversation until you disconnect.
👉 What happens after the call ends
Once you hang up, your recording is processed and made available within seconds. Longer calls (over 30 minutes) may take a bit more time. TapeACall automatically trims the silence at the beginning so playback starts when the conversation begins.
👉 How to access your recordings

- In the Recordings tab, to the left of the red Record button, you can view your Recordings list
- Tap on any item in the list to play the recording
Recordings are securely stored on TapeACall’s servers and linked to your account.
👉 How to label a recording
- Swipe left on any recording in your list
- Tap the Label button
- Enter the name you want and save it
👉 How to delete a recording
- Swipe left on the recording
- Tap the red Delete button
