If you change your phone number, your existing recordings stay linked to the original number used to create your TapeACall account.
To keep your recordings and access them from your new number:
- Follow the steps in this dedicated article to update your phone number in your account
- Once updated, your recordings will transfer to your new number and remain accessible
👉 What happens to my recordings if I change my Apple ID?
As long as the phone number associated with your account remains the same, your existing recordings stay linked to the original number used to create your TapeACall account.
Please note that your subscription is associated with your Apple ID. To transfer it to another account, follow the steps in this article.
👉 What happens to my recordings if I change devices?
You won’t lose any recordings if you switch or lose your phone. All recordings are safely stored in the cloud and tied to your TapeACall account, not your physical device.
Just log in with your account on the new device to access your recordings.
👉 Can I share and download my recordings?
Yes! You can easily share and download recordings to your computer:
- Open TapeACall and select the recording you want
- Tap the arrow icon next to the player
- Choose how you’d like to share it: email, Dropbox, Google Drive, WhatsApp, and more
This makes saving, sharing, and storing your calls simple and secure.
👉 Can I delete my recordings?
Just swipe left on the recording you want to delete and press the red button with a bin icon!
⚠️ Please keep in mind that deleting a call from TapeACall is permanent, and the recording will be unrecoverable.
