If your TapeACall subscription expires, your access to recordings will end. However, you can regain access at any time by resubscribing — as long as your recordings haven’t been deleted under our data retention policy.
You can review these retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
⚠️ Important: If you delete your account, all your recordings will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
👉 If you don't see your recording
-
If your recordings don’t appear in the Recordings tab, try the following:
Pull down to refresh the screen
Reboot your device
Make sure you’re using the latest version of TapeACall and your device’s OS
Recordings can take up to 24 hours to appear after a call
Recordings that fall outside the retention policy may be permanently deleted
👉 Back up your recordings before canceling
As outlined in TapeACall's Terms of Service, you are responsible for backing up your recordings. We strongly recommend saving important files before canceling your subscription.
👉 How to download or share a recording
Open the app and go to the Recordings tab
Tap the recording you want
Tap the share icon in the top right
Select Share Audio File
Choose your preferred sharing method (email, cloud storage, etc.)
Backing up your data ensures that your important recordings are never lost, even if your subscription ends or your account is deleted.
